What is Chlorogenic Acid?
Chlorogenic acid is a phenolic ester of caffeic acid and quinic acid, abundant in Eucommia ulmoides (Du Zhong) leaf. It is valued as an antioxidant and for metabolic-support applications, and is the marker we standardize on.
Eucommia leaf sourcing
Eucommia is grown as a plantation tree; the leaves are harvested and the chlorogenic-acid-rich fraction concentrated. Leaf maturity and harvest timing affect the CGA content we can reach.
